Is It Time to Retire Free Dining

freedineDo you agree with dadfordisney? Should Disney World discontinue the offer of Free Dining? Have you booked a trip simply because of this offer? The Mature Mouse™ would like to know what you think. I booked my next trip for June, hoping for summer savings, but not budgeting for this offer. Has an offer, like Free Dining, tempted you to book a trip?

I started planning my next Disney World Vacation by calling Jennie Nowers. When the Cool Summer Savings were released, Jennie was up early applying these savings to my trip, which saved me 15% on the price of my resort stay. I did not need to do a thing. Tell her that The Mature Mouse™ sent you and receive a special gift from Jennie with your next booking.

I have spent many years as avid Disney follower, one year as independent Disney blogger, nine months as an independent travel agent specializing in Disney vacations, and will be soon coming out with…

Storybook Radio

A few days ago, I teased some big news was on the horizon, and that big news has indeed hit – I will be joining the White Dragon Podcast Network with my very own Walt Disney World show – Storybook Radio. Each episode will consist of a Walt Disney World segment and Universal Studios segment, as well as travel tips and other odds and ends. I’m very excited about this project, and the debut episode will air Wednesday May 13.

All about Free Dining

Long time readers will know that I’m a fan of free dining and have experienced the joys of it twice. There is a lot of conflicting information out there about the pros and cons of Free Dining, so hopefully I can help out a little with that now. Free Dining was announced Monday, so it may be difficult to secure now anyway, but it’s always worth…

Disney World Free Dining: is it worth consideration?

The Free Dining offer for Fall 2015 was released on Monday. There was such an onslaught of calls people were kicked out of the system, and computer login was near impossible. Free Dining seems to have become a major incentive for Disney World vacationers, but is it really a value? There are very few dates available, your choice of resort determines your type of dining option, and you must have purchased an upgraded park ticket. Is Free Dining a real value or are you paying more in the long run? Is Free Dinning really free? Could it be that people are willing to pay more for the idea getting something free?
