Happy New Year!
The Mature Mouse™ has been quiet for some time. My apologies. I plan to post more in the new year. There has been a lot of changes happening in Walt Disney World, and I will be discussing them in the future. And, there are still things I wanted to talk about from my April 2018 trip.
Today, however, I wanted to share some exciting news: The Mature Mouse™ is heading to Disneyland in July. As you might have read in my first blog, posted years ago, my first trip to Disneyland happened back in 1970, at the age of 12, during Disneyland’s 15th anniversary. It is 50 years later, I am 62, and Disney is turning 65.
I will keep you updated on my planning, as well as the trip itself. Please share your experiences and tips for the Disneyland Resort.
The Mature Mouse™️ is concerned about the news regarding the lack of air conditioning on these gondolas. A special venting system, along with tinted windows, does not seem enough relief from the intense Florida sun. I hope I am wrong.
Update on the Disney Skyliner Gondola at Walt Disney World Resort
Earlier this week, we shared the exciting update that our new Disney Skyliner gondola system will be operating at the Walt Disney World Resort in fall of 2019. Today, we’ve got more to share – a first look at one of the actual gondolas!
Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek unveiled the gondola to Disney fans during D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse event. And as you can see, Disney Skyliner will be fun and offer a new way to experience Walt Disney World Resort with amazing views only available from the sky.

Once operating, the gondola system will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort as well as the proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort.
And select gondolas will have iconic Disney characters incorporated into their exterior design to give the appearance that a Disney pal is riding along with guests, such as characters from the ‘Fab Five,’ figures from Disney attractions, fan favorites from movies, and more.
The new online vacation-planning destination features park offering overviews, travel tips from Disney Parks Moms Panelists and customized suggestions based on each guest’s personal preferences – helping guests make more informed decisions.

The Mature Mouse ™️ will be posting during my next trip to Walt Disney World. I am hoping to post an overview of my planning process for this trip if time allows within the next week.
May the magic and wonder of the season surround you!
