Ways to Thank a Cast Member

The Mature Mouse™ posted an article back in May that focused on why a Disney World Vacation is the best choice for the mature empty nester. Included in the article was a link a list of the top 10 things to be thankful for at Disney World, by the Disney Questions website. Number 7 on their list is the Disney cast member.

This is an inexpensive way to let exceptional cast members know how much you appreciate their effort on your behalf. I have had a few cast members connect back to me through this blog.

Caroline and Elly’s Magical Moments offers suggestions on other ways you can thank a Disney cast member. They include a link to printable thank you cards you can use when at any of the Disney parks.

Cast Members can’t accept cash, tips, or physical gifts, unless it’s part of their role, i.e., a server in a full-service, sit down restaurant, mousekeeping at Disney hotels, etc. All gifts and gratuities from guests must be turned over backstage. If CMs are seen accepting gifts and do not turn them over to management, they can receive disciplinary action, including being fired!

But, there are many, many ways to show your appreciation for all that we do!

1. CMs always try and go the extra mile for guests and make their time at WDW magical for them. One of the best tips you can give any Disney cast member (employee) is a rave review!
